PHS is a member of the Hatch Mott MacDonald team providing transportation consulting services, strategic planning and program management to the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT). PHS engineers provide services in program/project management, construction management, construction engineering inspection (CEI), transportation planning, and transit & congestion management planning.

Dulles International Airport

PHS is a member of the Cater & Burgess team providing program management services to the Washington Metropolitan Airports Authority (WMAA) for the $5.1 billion Metrorail extension to Dulles airport.

USAID Afghanistan

PHS is a subcontractor to International Relief and Development (IRD) for the Afghanistan Human Resources and Logistics Support project in Kabul.

USAID Afghanistan

PHS staff work with the ministries of Energy & Water, Agriculture, and Mines & Industry to support the Human Resources and Logistical Support (HRLS) program. Technical staff at the ministries will be supported by PHS to improve and ensure proficiency and professional competency in modern approaches to planning, design, implementation and construction. This USAID project increases local development and builds capacity in the power and water sector.


PHS is a subcontractor to International Relief and Development for the Community Stabilization Program (CSP) designed to focus local energies toward productive economic and social opportunities. The initiative will provide the impetus for economic development and create jobs in critical fields. Concentrated in Baghdad, the primary objectives of CSP are to

    • Create Jobs and develop employable skills with a focus on unemployed youth
    • Revitalize community infrastructure and essential services
    • Support established businesses and develop new sustainable businesses
    • Help mitigate conflict in selected communities

Miami International Airport

PHS is the prime contractor for Threshold-Structural Inspection Services for these 1.6 million square feet of development.

Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan

PHS provides architectural and engineering services for program management support for the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP), the world's largest environmental restoration initiative jointly lead by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

PHS completed a 2006 levee repair project for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in the New Orleans district. PHS conducted research, review and compiling of all test data from daily reports. Two PHS engineers received a Certificate of Appreciation for the Task Force Guardian Commander.

Miami-Dade Public Works

As a member of a joint venture contract, PHS provided construction management services for all non-capital improvement projects for the Miami-Dade Aviation MCC 4 Program. Tasks included scheduling, cost estimating, and preparation of bidding documents, bidding process, inspection, monitoring, quality assurance and quality control.

U.S. Agency for International Development (C&D Debris Site Management)

PHS is under contract by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to establish the first construction and demolition debris site management and reduction operations following the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers standards in Port Varreux, Haiti.

PHS executed a contract with U.S. AID to establish a construction and demolition debris management site on a secure and controlled seven acre section near the entrance to the Truitier waste disposal site. Mobilizing to Truitier within 48 hours, PHS implemented operational standards and safety measures similar to those instituted at Port Varreaux.
